Roles and Responsibilities Own and execute end to end delivery of one or more business segment business intelligence requirements Understand requirements from Product Managers/Business Users and develop analytical approach Extract data from multiple data sources and develop meaningful, visually appealing and optimized dashboards as per the requirement gathered Perform ad-hoc deep dive analysis proactively / based on stated needs Generate insights based on the data patterns and recommend actions to be taken by the business Design tests (unit & UAT) Validate deliverables developed by self/peers and operationalize the same in production Communicate the insights/recommendation to technical as well as business stakeholders across different hierarchies Create technical documentation and provide post-production support for a time-bound period Provide user training on new BI dashboards and tools Ideate and develop new KPI / product feature that will help business users make data driven decisions accurately in lesser time Follows best practices in end-to-end product development cycle (requirement gathering, coding, dashboard development, testing, change management and documentation) Identify inefficiencies and opportunities to improve the delivery process and take initiatives to implement the same Work collaboratively with other internal teams to amass data/other resources and seek clarification on business/process/data related questions Experience Experience in successfully building descriptive/inquisitive/predictive solutions and meeting tight deadlines Structured problem-solving skills (Six Sigma Green Belt will have advantage) Deep expertise in analytical tools/techniques Expertise in MS Excel is mandatory Minimum years\' experience in Tableau and T-SQL are must At least one of the reporting/visualization tools (Tableau, QlikView, SSRS, Power BI, D3, Angular JS etc.) Exposure to at least one of the statistical computing language (R, Python, SAS, Scala, Julia, SparkML etc.) Candidates having experience in big data environment (Hive, Spark, Impala) and code optimization capability will have advantage Excellent story-telling skills, educating and instilling confidence among business users, motivating stakeholders to evangelize the recommendations Mindset Quick learner of new business, tools/technologies, algorithms Exploratory, self-driven and get-shit-done attitude Goes extra mile to bring customer delight by expanding the initial idea and providing the best possible solution Applied Materials is committed to diversity in its workforce including Equal Employment Opportunity for Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities.
