_Business Development Specialist- Freight Forwarder Skill Set:

- Investigate and plan the most appropriate route for a shipment, taking into account the perishable or hazardous nature of goods, cost, transit time, and security.
- In-Dept knowledge Incoterms, LCL & FCL.
- Keep control and maintain communication through all phases of the journey, including the production of management reports and statistical and unit-cost analysis.
- Maintain current knowledge of relevant legislation, political situations, and other factors that could affect the movement of freight.
- Deal with special arrangements for transporting ODC & Break-bulk cargo.
- Need to arrange appropriate packing, taking into account the climate, terrain, weight, cost, and nature of goods and also the delivery and warehousing of goods at their final destination.
- Negotiate contracts, transportation, and handling costs
- Obtain, check, and prepare documentation to meet customs and insurance requirements, packing specifications and compliance with other countries\' regulations and fiscal regimes.
- Arrange insurance and assist the client in the event of a claim.
- Act as a broker in customs negotiations worldwide to guide the freight efficiently through complex procedures.
- Develop sales strategies to achieve business goals.
- Keep track of market developments, and competitors, and take proactive measures to sustain business goals.
- Developing and implementing the procurement plan, focusing on the carrier strategy & operational
