  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company objectives.
  • Identify and evaluate new market opportunities and potential partnerships.
  • Relationship Management:
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key developers, architects and other stakeholders in the building industry.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Market Analysis and Research:
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive activities.
  • Provide insights and strategic recommendations based on market analysis to guide business decisions.
  • Sales and Revenue Generation:
  • Drive sales growth by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the building products sector.
  • Develop and negotiate contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Networking and Industry Engagement:
  • Attend industry events, trade shows and conferences to network with potential clients and partners.
  • Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts to support business development efforts.
  • Proposal and Presentation Development:
  • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of potential clients.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in business development within the building products industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business development strategies.
  • Extensive network of contacts with developers, architects and other key stakeholders in the building industry.
  • Strong understanding of the building products industry, market trends and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
