We proactively collaborate with our partners to create sustainable solutions in the Oleochemicals, Derivatives and Surfactants market.About the roleAs the Surfactants Business Development Manager, youxe2x80x99ll play a pivotal role in driving the growth of our Surfactants portfolio and expanding our business. You will manage key accounts, spearhead business development efforts and collaborate across departments to identify new opportunities, build long-lasting relationships and accelerate sales performance.Key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage key accounts across our entire product portfolio, with a primary focus on Surfactants, Oleo chemicals, derivatives and specialty chemicals
  • Establish strategic partnerships with various customer departments, including R&D, purchase, marketing and operations, to drive business growth
  • Understand the potential of key accounts and market share, analysing positioning to identify opportunities for expansion
  • Monitor market trends, customer activity and competitor behaviour to provide actionable insights and strategic guidance
  • Establish relationships across all customer locations, ensuring alignment and communication for business growth
  • Oversee accounts receivables, ensuring timely payments and credit management
  • Drive the development and management of long-term customer relationships under the guidance of Sales and Marketing
  • Resolve customer complaints and ensure seamless communication with the Godrej technical and commercial teams
  • Track demand-supply dynamics, pricing trends, and market climate, sharing competitive intelligence with management
  • Identify new business opportunities, develop sales funnels and secure new customers globally, including pursuing untapped segments, applications, and products
  • Manage large accounts, ensuring consistent growth and meeting expansion goals
  • Own the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing, establishing sales objectives and annual forecasts
  • Stay ahead of market trends, identifying new customers, products and applications for Surfactants
  • Collaborate with customer R&D teams and internal technical teams to explore innovative opportunities and drive product adoption
  • Participate in industry exhibitions and conferences to network and represent the brand
  • Foster strong customer relations, ensuring satisfaction and maximising repeat business and long-term profitable growth
Who are we looking for?Education
  • B.Tech/BE in Chemical Engineering (MBA preferred)
Experience
  • At least 10 years of experience in key account management and business development, specifically in the chemical or B2B sectors
  • Proven ability to manage large customer portfolios and develop new business opportunities
Skills
  • Strategic agility and strong understanding of domestic and international business trends
  • Excellent B2B sales, key account management, and business development skills
  • Outstanding communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence decision-makers at all levels and drive results
  • Strong technical knowledge to understand our product portfolio and provide value to clients
  • Financial acumen, with a solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting and business profitability
  • Initiative, resilience and problem-solving mindset
  • Strong decision-making abilities, planning, organising and teamworking skills
