  • You will play a key role in growing Contract Logistics at Maersk and get hands-on experience in identifying business opportunities, driving growth opportunities, and partnering with leaders and sales owners - equipping them with Contract Logistics capabilities and knowledge. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to work in a multi-cultural environment driven by values, customers, and people orientation. Key ResponsibilitiesDrive growth opportunities for transportation - middle mile product under MCL product family with a high level of commercial, technical/operational and negotiation skills and market understanding. Enhance sales owners capabili-ties and knowledge, including increased confidence to profitably grow with the customer in different Contract Logis-tics products and eventually integrated solutions. Identify business opportunities in the core and new verticals and stay ahead of market trends.
Develop opportunities for CL fulfilment Products
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify growth opportunities within the transport and logistics sector.
  • Develop strategies and implement to increase market penetration and expand the companys footprint in key regions.
  • Identify trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform business development strategies.
  • Coordinate with pricing and sourcing teams to provide best possible pricing on opportunities brought for-ward by commercial teams or any other source
  • Maximize synergies & overall profitability on opportunities on the table
  • Lead the customer engagement process as a subject matter expert and engage into detailed conversation with customer and develop the relationship with user teams of customers
  • Actively lead the RFI, RFQ and RFP process for transportation opportunities. Ensure RFQ & RFP proposals submitted are comprehensive, competitive and within the parameters set by global product
  • Review and vet contracts ensuring product technical standards & requirements are met along with basic le-gal expectations to protect Maersk interest.
  • Lead efforts to acquire new clients and expand relationships with existing customers.
  • Develop tailored solutions that align with customer needs and drive value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, operations, marketing, sourcing and pricing) to design and deliver integrated transport solutions.
  • Support new business pursuits via our sales/internal stakeholders to deliver a technical sound techno-com-mercial business proposal on time.
  • Approach new leads jointly with relevant sales colleagues, transferring opportunity ownership to sales in line with sales accountability.
  • A solution centric approach to customers problems and create discussions around that
  • Strong ability to break down a product solution in a simplistic fashion to both internal sales and customers.
  • Support sales in pursuit of deals for relevant products (inbound marketing leads, trade shows, past relation-ships, etc.) Opportunity ownership sits with sales, not with business development.
  • Providing solutions to sales and customers at a rapid pace.
  • Understanding technical approaches and engage in constructive discussions with internal stakeholders of solution design team and operations and help create innovative and competitive customer solutions in ware-housing and distribution segments
  • Negotiating with internal teams and customers and help closing medium and large transportation deals
  • Ensure cash flows of assigned or developed clients by way of follow up for any critical outstanding
  • Foster a WIN WIN client relationship and grow wallet shared
We are looking for
  • In-depth understanding of local/regional industry market trends
  • Solid understanding of customer industry needs & requirements for the respective product
  • Well-developed stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong understanding of the commercial solution sales process.
  • Strong financial & pricing acumen, and negotiation skills
  • Deep Contract Logistics and Transportation industry knowledge (8+ years) - selling and solutioning as a core technical service offerings.
  • Good listener and empathy to understand customers pain points
