Roles and Responsibilities:
Job overview: The Business Development Intern will support the business development team in identifying new growth opportunities, assisting with lead generation, and helping to build and maintain relationships with potential clients. This internship offers hands-on experience in business development processes and provides an excellent learning opportunity for individuals interested in a career in sales, marketing, or business development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in conducting market research to identify potential customers, industry trends, and competitor analysis.
• Analyze customer data and help create reports that guide business development strategies.
• Support the team in generating new business leads through various methods, including cold calling, email outreach, social media, and networking.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the CRM system with relevant client and lead information.
• Help draft and send introductory emails, follow-up communications, and proposals to potential clients.
• Assist with scheduling meetings and calls with prospective clients for the business development team.
• Support the preparation of presentations and sales materials for client meetings.
• Assist in tracking the progress of leads and opportunities, ensuring that they are followed up appropriately.
• Provide administrative support to the business development team, including data entry, report generation, and organizing client information.
• Help manage calendars, meetings, and other logistics for client interactions.
• Assist in preparing for and attending networking events, trade shows, and conferences, when applicable.
• Support in managing post-event follow-ups and leads.
• Work closely with the marketing, sales, and product teams to ensure alignment of business development activities with overall company objectives.
• Take part in training sessions and shadow senior team members to develop an understanding of business development processes.
• Receive feedback and actively apply learning to improve performance.
• Strong interest in business development, sales, and/or marketing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
• Previous internship or experience in sales, marketing, or customer service is a plus.
• Familiarity with CRM systems or sales software is a plus.
