Job Description


This Business Development role is part of the sales team based in our Bangalore office that is tasked with selling into India and Bangladesh region. It is a commercially driven role with a key responsibility of generating sales revenue with new clients in the region as well as managing existing clients from client servicing and upsell perspective.This role involves targeting diverse set of organizations across multiple verticals such as Investment banks, Equity research, Private Equity, Management Consulting, Advertising/media agencies, FMCG companies and selected Government organizations. The successful candidate will demonstrate commercial awareness, analytical mind, well spoken as well as who has a keen interest in, and knowledge of, consultative sales.This role involves end to end sales process from lead gen to deal closure and account management.

  • Identifying influencers/decision makers across new prospects and existing customers and engaging with them proactively via phone, emails, LinkedIn and in-person interactions
  • Territory planning & prioritization.
  • Create a sales plan on how to reach sales KPIs and Revenue target.
  • Sales plan implementation - identify key sponsors, influencers and decision-makers at target companies and ensure that you understand their roles and objectives, and that they understand the benefits and applications of using data and insight.
  • Client Relationship - Manage ongoing client relationships with accounts through the entire sales process, negotiation, and procurement
  • Targeting new organization and converting them successfully into existing client base
  • Attainment of new business and renewal revenue target
  • Experience - 3-5 years preferably in market research and business consulting solutions industry.

  • Proven experience of selling to large multi-national organizations
  • Excellent negotiation, communication and inter-personal skills

  • Fluency in oral and written English is a must. Fluency in other Indian languages will be an advantage.
