About the role:
The Business Development Executive plays a crucial role in driving growth and revenue for the company within the dynamic field of educational technology (EdTech). This role involves identifying, pursuing, and nurturing partnerships with educational institutions, corporate clients, and other stakeholders to expand the company's presence and influence in the market.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough research to identify potential markets, segments, and key players within the EdTech industry.
• Analyze market trends, competitor strategies, and customer needs to develop effective business development strategies.
• Identifying and qualify leads through various channels such as cold calling, email campaigns, networking events, and referrals.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities by effectively managing leads and tracking progress through the sales cycle.
• Cultivate relationships with key decision-makers at educational institutions, government bodies, corporate organizations, and other relevant entities.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions and proposals that meet the specific needs and objectives of potential partners.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms of agreements to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships.
• Drive revenue growth by converting leads into paying customers and closing deals within established timelines.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives set by the management team.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and regular progress reports to stakeholders.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process and beyond, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Proactively address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback to maintain positive relationships and maximize retention.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to align business development efforts with overall company goals.
• Share insights, best practices, and market feedback to contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, education, or a related field. A master's degree or MBA is a plus.
• Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management roles, preferably within the EdTech industry.
• Strong understanding of the education sector, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically, analyze data, and make data-driven decisions.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other relevant tools.
• Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
• Passion for education and a commitment to making a positive impact on learning outcomes.
