As a Business Development Coordinator, you will play a key role in sourcing, onboarding, and managing relationships with vendors and suppliers. You will be responsible for reaching out to potential partners, guiding them through the listing process, and ensuring they are set up for success on our e-commerce platform. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong business acumen, and a passion for working in a fast-paced startup environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Vendor & Supplier Outreach:
• Identify and research potential vendors and suppliers who align with Agiigo's product categories and target market.
• Reach out to potential partners via phone, email, and other communication channels to introduce Agiigo and the benefits of joining our platform.
• Engage with key stakeholders to discuss the product listing process, terms, and partnership agreements.
• Product Listings & Onboarding:
• Guide vendors and suppliers through the process of listing their products on the Agiigo platform, including providing necessary documentation and assistance in creating product profiles.
• Collaborate with vendors to ensure accurate and appealing product listings with appropriate descriptions, images, and pricing information.
• Ensure the timely and successful onboarding of new vendors and suppliers onto the platform.
• Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers, acting as the primary point of contact for any inquiries or issues.
• Proactively monitor vendor performance, ensuring that product listings are up-to-date and relevant.
• Resolve any concerns or disputes related to product listings, transactions, or other aspects of the platform.
• Market Research & Analysis:
• Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities for vendor partnerships.
• Conduct regular research to identify new vendors, suppliers, and products that would enhance the variety and quality of offerings on the Agiigo platform.
• Collaboration with Internal Teams:
• Work closely with marketing, customer support, and product teams to ensure vendor requirements are met and provide feedback to improve platform functionality.
• Assist in developing promotional strategies for new vendor products and categories to drive traffic and sales on the platform.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of vendor and supplier interactions, agreements, and product listings.
• Provide regular reports on vendor acquisition efforts, product performance, and marketplace growth.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Contribute to the optimization of Agiigo's onboarding processes, product listing procedures, and vendor communication strategies.
• Suggest new tools, technologies, and practices to improve efficiency and vendor satisfaction.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in business development, sales, or e-commerce, preferably within an online marketplace or e-commerce startup environment.
• Skills:
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to build rapport and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
• Basic understanding of e-commerce platforms and online selling best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced startup environment.
• Other: Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Passion for e-commerce and the startup ecosystem.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with vendor management or e-commerce marketplaces (eBay, Amazon, etc.).
• Familiarity with digital marketing strategies and tools.
• Knowledge of SEO and product listing optimization best practices.
