A Business Development Associate (BDA) is responsible for developing strategies to increase sales and organizational growth. BDAs are often the first point of contact for new leads, and they may perform a variety of tasks, including:
• Research : Conduct market research to understand customer needs and market dynamics
• Identify new customers : Prospect for new customers who meet the company's ideal profile
• Develop strategies : Create sales plans, marketing plans, and product development strategies
• Build relationships : Manage customer relationships and liaise with key partners
• Coordinate activities : Coordinate appointments, calls, and meetings between senior management and customers
• Provide reports : Generate progress reports and provide regular updates to senior management
• Create presentations : Create proposals and presentation material
• Support sales : Support the sales team on all aspects of the sales process
