Syngene has placed safety at par with business performance with shared responsibility and accountability, including following safety guidelines, procedures, and SOPs, in letter and spiritMandatory expectation for all roles as per Syngene safety guidelinesOverall adherence to safe practices and procedures of oneself and the teams alignedContributing to development of procedures, practices and systems that ensures safe operations and compliance to company\'s integrity & quality standardsDriving a corporate culture that promotes environment, health, and safety (EHS) mindset and operational discipline at the workplace at all times.Ensuring safety of self, teams and lab/plant by adhering to safety protocols and following environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace.Ensure all assigned mandatory trainings related to data integrity, health, and safety measures are completed on time by all members of the team including selfCompliance to Syngene\' s quality standards at all timesCore Purpose of the Role: Designs to prevent and recover from potential threats. primary goal is to ensure that the organization can continue to operate or quickly resume critical functions during and after a disruption.Role AccountabilitiesStrategic Planning and DevelopmentDeveloping the BCP:Create, update, and maintain the business continuity plan to ensure it is comprehensive and effective.Help companies continue operating during and after such crises.Focus restoring an organization\'s IT systems post-crisis.Risk Assessment:Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the organization.These risks can include natural disasters (such as fire, flood, or weather-related events) and cyber-attacks.Business Impact Analysis (BIA):Perform BIA to determine the impact of various disruptions on business operations and prioritize critical functions.Coordination and CommunicationStakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with different departments, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure all aspects of the BCP are addressed.Communication Plan: Develop and maintain a communication plan for effectively disseminating information during a disruption.Testing and DrillsBCP Testing: Plan and conduct regular tests and drills of the business continuity plan to ensure its effectiveness.Tabletop Exercises: These are scenario-based discussions where participants simulate their response to a hypothetical disaster. Test BCP procedures, identify gaps, and improve coordination.Simulations: Include real-time decision-making.
