We are seeking a GeoSpatial Developer with expertise in Java to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5 years of experience in Mainframe SQL Mainframe Utilities SAS and COBOL. This hybrid role requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively in a day shift environment. The candidate will contribute to developing and maintaining geospatial applications that support our business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain geospatial applications using Java to support business objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for geospatial projects.
• Utilize Mainframe SQL Mainframe Utilities SAS and COBOL to ensure seamless integration and functionality of geospatial applications.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for geospatial applications to ensure optimal performance.
• Implement best practices for coding testing and deploying geospatial applications.
• Conduct regular code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to industry standards.
• Create and maintain documentation for geospatial applications including technical specifications and user manuals.
• Participate in the design and development of new geospatial features and enhancements.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity in geospatial applications by performing regular data validation and quality checks.
• Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve technical issues related to geospatial applications.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in geospatial development and incorporate them into projects as appropriate.
• Provide training and support to end-users on the functionality and usage of geospatial applications.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Possess a strong technical background with 2 to 5 years of experience in Mainframe SQL Mainframe Utilities SAS and COBOL.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Java programming and geospatial application development.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues effectively.
• Show strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Have experience in implementing best practices for coding testing and deploying applications.
• Display a keen attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity in geospatial applications.
