Overview
This role would be of a techno-functional business analyst in the Insurance domain who
would bridge the gap by understanding both business requirements and translating them
into technical specifications for IT teams This role requires a blend of business acumen,
analytical skills, and technical knowledge of banking systems and processes in order to work
in a client facing role capturing the client expectations and help shape a solution to fulfill
the requirements.
Responsibilities:
\xef\x82\xb7 Collaborate with business stakeholders, IT Teams and Product managers to understand
their needs, identify opportunities for improvement, identify pain points and define
business requirements for banking products, services, and systems and define solutions
\xef\x82\xb7 Analyze existing banking processes, workflows, and data to identify areas for
optimization and automation
\xef\x82\xb7 Conduct gap analysis to identify discrepancies between business needs and current
system capabilities
\xef\x82\xb7 Develop user stories, flowcharts, and other documentation (like BRD, FRD, SRS) to
clearly communicate business needs to technical teams and also assist to create Project
Plans
\xef\x82\xb7 Document business requirements clearly, concisely, and accurately using industry-
standard tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, use cases).
\xef\x82\xb7 Present information professionally & concisely with supporting data
\xef\x82\xb7 Work collaboratively with cross functional teams, developers, testers, and other IT
professionals to ensure that systems are designed and implemented according to
business requirements
\xef\x82\xb7 Test and validate system functionalities to ensure they meet business requirements
\xef\x82\xb7 Facilitate and review Test Scripts and test data creation in SIT, and assisting execution
and defect management using Jira in UAT and CUG
\xef\x82\xb7 Coordinate with multiple vendors for API mapping document creation, API testing and
API provisioning
\xef\x82\xb7 Work closely with the project managers to lead the team in daily standups and planning
\xef\x82\xb7 Create user training materials and impart user training to business uses. Conduct
training sessions for new features and functionalities on new banking systems and
processes for internal teams
\xef\x82\xb7 Assist in Business Development. Attend meetings with potential clients to determine the
business requirements, ensuring all necessary information is gathered for presenting a
proposal
Qualifications
\xef\x82\xb7 4-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst (most of which should be in banking
industry)
\xef\x82\xb7 Good understanding of banking products, services, and regulations.
\xef\x82\xb7 Should have worked for gathering and analyzing business requirements for at least one
of the banking systems and processes (such as customer onboarding, Core Banking
Systems, banking products such as savings account, deposits, loans (LOS, LMS)payment gateway integration, etc.)
\xef\x82\xb7 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
\xef\x82\xb7 Excellent communication skills, interpersonal, and presentation skill, self-initiated,
business & technology savvy
\xef\x82\xb7 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and business analysis
tools (e.g., Visio, Jira)
\xef\x82\xb7 Basic understanding in SQL and log analysis
\xef\x82\xb7 Basic understanding of APIs (including endpoints, request and response structures)
\xef\x82\xb7 Experience of delivering the project in delivery methodology (e.g. waterfall, Agile,
Scrum)
Good to Have
\xef\x82\xb7 Stay up to date on the latest banking regulations and industry trends
\xef\x82\xb7 Experience with user experience (UX) is good to have
\xef\x82\xb7 Knowledge of Programming languages like Java is good to have
