Job Description


The Role Responsibilities

  • Determine operational objectives for SCB Indias Non-Financial Regulatory Return (NFRR) by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating output requirements and formats.
  • Improve reporting by studying current practices, redesigning and modification of reporting format.
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams, studying system capabilities, writing specifications and recommendations for adoption.
  • Clear articulation and translation of business requirements, socialisation and handshakes with system / technology partners in delivering a change.
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing forward-thinking systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels.
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.
  • Perform reviews and analyses of current processes and systems using business and operations performance metrics and reports, and proactively suggesting improvements which create sustainable business value.
  • Evaluate, analyse, and communicate systems requirements on a continuing basis, and maintain systems processes, including the delivery status reports to all stakeholders.
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
  • Suggest changes to senior management using analytics to support recommendations.
  • Actively participate in the implementation of approved changes.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Analytics
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant business trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Interpret, evaluate and interrelate data and develop integrated business analyses and projections for incorporation into strategic business decision-making.
  • Provide business and operations insights and identify opportunities for new activities within the business.
  • Drive discussions with various business and operations stakeholders to understand requirements and recommend suitable reporting approach for better consistency and data governance.
  • Continuously drive to new insights into the growth of NFRR COE.
Business
  • Support relevant stakeholders by collecting, analysing and summarising information and trends.
Regulatory & Business conduct
  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Groups Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
  • Lead the Right shoring enablement to achieve the outcomes set out in the Banks Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; The Right Environment.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk.
  • Maintain stakeholder confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential.
Project/Change Management
  • Measure outcomes on Change initiatives/ program post-implementation to evaluate benefits realisation.
  • Provide subject matter expert advice, guidance and support to the project managers on managing change.
  • Review new business requirements and provide solutions where required.
Success Factors
  • Acknowledgement from key stakeholders that the NFRR COE is effective and easy to do business with GBS.
  • Good Voice of Business Partner / Workforce results.
  • Streamlined reporting standards for NFRR related activities for the business and countries.
Our Ideal Candidate
  • A bachelor's degree in IT, computer science, business management, or a related field.
  • Agile implementation experience preferred
  • A Project Management Professional (PMP/Prince2) certification is good to have.
Selection Criteria
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in data analytics or business intelligence units, preferably in consultancy or financial industry.
  • Relevant experience in using data is a prerequisite.
  • Strategic thinking mindset and ability to logically structure and process large amounts of data into meaningful and actionable recommendations.
  • Proven influencing and perseverance skills to tailor recommendation to the needs of stakeholders and effectively engage them to obtain commitment and drive impact.
  • Analytical mind with sound business insights and the ability to translate the business problems and requirements into analytics solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to proactively identify opportunities and drive results.
  • Proven development of innovative and impactful systems solutions for reporting.
  • Extensive experience with data visualisation.
  • Experience of working in a cross functional remote global team.
  • Self-motivated with can-do spirit and willing to take on new challenges and work to resolve issues.
  • Ability to work under business environments with lesser clarity with an ability to drive business decisions.
  • Proven ability to turn the complex into the simple, to cut through and focus on what really matters and tell simple story.
  • Awareness and understanding of current technology concepts; database structure; business intelligence solutions; online versus offline solutions. Consulting experience and skill set strongly preferred
  • Strong computer aptitude and ability to learn systems quickly.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent understanding of business metrics and performance management.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good understanding of CPBB or/and CCIB business.
  • Agile certification is a plus.
  • Business analysis certification (desirable).
