It should capture only the key responsibilities of the roleSECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLEResponsibilitiesPolicies, Processes and Procedures

  • Conduct day to day activities & follow all relevant policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions related to business data analysis so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
  • Assist the team in identifying business processes that require improvement across different functions within specific business unit
  • Keep self abreast with leading practices & trends and contribute to the identification of continuous improvement for various business processes to enhance efficiency and optimize resource allocation
  • Monitor metrics established for analysing organizational statistics to identify trends
  • Provide inputs in evaluating technology solutions to improve productivity and reduce manual efforts for identified areas for automation within processes and procedures
Research & Analysis
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to understand business objectives, requirements, and challenges and share relevant requirements upward
  • Undertake on ground research through primary and secondary sources to gather relevant data to address business requirements
  • Contribute to overall analysis, drawn from internal and external data, by assisting in identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Assist in validating the efficiency and effectiveness of existing systems and processes by performing gap analysis to identify areas for process improvement, cost reduction, and revenue optimization
  • Utilize statistical and analytical techniques to interpret data and evaluate business performance, assess risks and forecast future trends
Data Management
  • Clean, and organize data from various internal and external sources to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Design and implement data models, databases, and reporting systems to facilitate efficient data analysis
  • Develop and maintain data governance policies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information
Reporting
  • Prepare and deliver clear and concise reports, presentations and dashboards for immediate managers to enable them to communicate key findings, progress, and recommendations further to business teams
  • Implement data visualization techniques to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics tools and platforms to enhance data-driven decision-making

  • 3 - 7 years of experience in relevant field, preferably in Indian Oil & Gas Industries
