Job Description


Role Purpose The Business Analyst is accountable for:BA with insurance contact center, automation, digitalisation and operation process experience.Location: Bangalore, Hyderabad & PuneAccountabilities Nature of WorkAccountable for shaping and defining the business outcome o Establish scope and introduce a clear process for making changes to the business, provisioning full audit trail o Gather and analyse business requirements, using appropriate requirements documentation and management processes, encompassing functional and non-functional requirementsEvaluate business needs against IT strategy and architecture roadmaps, driving consistency and maximising the leverage of existing architecture

  • Accountable for delivering the business analysis activities on projects and programmes
  • Shape and develop project and programme business cases, business value, benefits realisation in an innovative and cost-effective way
  • Support or manage service and/or product selection processes in line with the defined business need
  • Engage core stakeholders (incl. sponsor, business representatives, programme & project managers) to drive awareness and buy-in
  • Identify and manage internal and external dependencies, affecting solution design / implementation
  • Recommend business solution options and support their detailed evaluation through investment appraisal, clearly highlighting the recommended option o
  • Apply and monitor use of modelling and analysis tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence), methods and standards.
  • Accountable for integrity and alignment of the proposed and chosen solutions with the business needs o Identify and highlight business risks and issues within scope and propose escalation and resolution actions
Demonstrate conceptual thinking and research skills, facilitating the design of solutions which account for future developments and changesDrive compliance with the Change and IT standards, frameworks, methodologies and governance; contribute to defining acceptance tests.Provide consultancy services and/or specialist expertise to IT & Change and Aviva, driving performance and improving quality of the delivery
  • Accountable for development and professionalism of themselves and the business analyst community
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the services and products within the industry
  • Keep abreast of the industry trends and best practice, sharing these with the wider community and applying as and when appropriate
  • Share recent insights and lessons learnt with the wider community through active participation in the community briefings, blogs, presentations, etc
  • Support and guide community new joiners, familiarising them with the business analysis approach, toolkit and frameworks
  • Seek opportunities and attend external and internal seminars / training sessions that enhance professional development and deliver business value Aviva: Internal Risks & Controls
  • Identify, own and manage the specific key risks and/or IT controls and BP standards that you are identified as the owner and/or nominee for on iCARE or Archer
  • Ensure that issues and actions associated to controls / risks are remediated in a timely manner
  • Maintain appropriate records on iCARE or Archer
  • Ensure that controls are sufficiently well designed and operating effectively to keep the risks that they mitigate within Aviva\'s tolerance level
  • Report and escalate the status of the relevant risks, controls and standards as appropriate Resource Complexity
  • Accountable for working within policy and guidelines, applying technical knowledge and expertise and prioritising own use of time
  • May be accountable for managing internal and external resources working on the project; number and extent of resources will vary depending on the role.
  • This may include: setting clear timelines and milestones, co-shaping the deliverables, resolving conflicts and dependencies, monitoring and managing risks and issues. Problem Solving
  • Accountable for solving problems and dealing with difficulties in line with policy, process and other guidelines applying technical knowledge and expertise.
  • Support project resources by giving advice or by taking on accountability to resolve more complex problems.

  • Accountable for recommending change based on expert know how and analysis of the business situation taking account of similar previous problems
  • Accountable for taking personal initiative in adapting to change Internal Collaboration
  • Accountable for building and maintaining effective relationships with the immediate project team as well as extended stakeholders - incl. sponsor, business representatives and other projects and programmes External Interaction
  • Accountable for building and maintaining effective relationships with external subject matter experts and/or suppliers Timeframe
  • Longest target completion time of a specific task likely to be 3 months
  • Will typically work on projects, larger programmes or teams lasting for a period of 6 months to 2 years
Educational Qualification:
  • Bachelor\'s in computer science, Information Technology or Engineering.
