VP Lead for Corporate Functions partnering stakeholders on the strategically important delivery of the digitisation of paper and the roll out of the ATMs of the future . Drive BUK Corporate Functions Team in delivering the end to end financials across given Transaction Cycle /Function by working closely with Business contacts, wider Finance and Business Managers supporting the Transaction Cycle /Function . Partner with BUK COO Corporate Functions F&BM team lead to drive control and simplification agenda . Drive insights and commercial explainers for key managed and consumed cost variances . Drive delivery of transformation initiatives and its impact on capacity creation . Deliver end-to-end Finance reporting that enables management to proactively shape strategy . Support delivery of full set of forward looking Financial projections (MTP), Outlook, Transfers, scenario analytics & BUK POD/ portfolio analytics at consolidated level . Strategic Financial support to AEs/ Function lead including QBRs, MBRs, commentaries . Supporting cost allocation understanding and risks & opportunities management . High quality, consistent and standardised offering with complete ownership of the \'numbers\' . Mentor team members to build effective and high performing team What will you be doing . Finance Reporting & Planning - Delivery of the end to end financials across a Transaction Cycle/Function: o Providing the consolidated view of financials including commentaries and key messages for leads to take decision o Drive the analysis to support business decisions and financial strategy for the Transaction Cycle/Function, ensuring delivery is to plan and budget, supporting the bank\'s overall business strategy and cost base objectives o Working directly with the various stakeholders to understand the P&L landing each month and to ensure the monthly financial performance is clearly explained with business insights o Own the commentary and insights of current & outlook financials (including Capacity Creation) with clear linkages to drivers across Managed & Consumed Costs o Provide extensive support in managing the Monthly and Quarterly Business reviews including MI preparation and walkthrough o Provide insights including WF, Cost, fully loaded services costs, managed and consumed o Prepare and present any reporting requirements o Drive robust POD level reporting including capacity creation o Partnering with business to deliver on transformation agenda including robust tracking and reporting capability. - Support the creation of the annual plan and be responsible for making updates during the regular RAF / Outlook cycles including: o Responsible for providing the consolidated view of planning numbers during annual plan, Outlooks and updates to RAF o Hands on modelling of forward looking scenarios / deep dives including HLS, MTP, STP, RAF, Outlook and adhoc exercises as required - Work with the Centres of Excellence to ensure full alignment to BX operating model - driving agenda to deliver more standardise output - Provide information and reports to allow the business to be challenged as required where forecasts are not met - Have oversight of and ensure adherence / alignment to all global / local regulatory and statutory requirements - Ensure best in class, efficient and robust controls are adhered to at all times . Strategy, Insights & Leadership Support - Drive support to Lead FBPs ensuring adherence of day to day agenda, strategic and Adhoc assignments providing insights & recommendations across the financials - Enable KPI based reporting for F&BM Leads, helping drive financial and Workforce discipline - Provide reports and data to Lead FBP to support monthly updates to AEs across the group - Adhoc activity to support cost related Executive level requests (e.g cost board updates) - Support/ Drive BUK F&BM transformation Projects - Support analysis and metrics driving the cost allocations from BX to trading entities to allow the business to understand their costs - (managed to consumed reporting insights) - Lead team member in people manage capability and help them deliver objectives . Governance & Control - Ensure alignment of activity that ensures the Transaction Cycle or Function are compliant and aligned to the group wide governance and control framework, including: o Delivery around the requirements for external Governance Forums (COO ExCo, Cost exCo, Group ExCo,Board etc.) and maintenance of all relevant SMR documentation o Support the validation and pre-approval of Vendor Spend Business cases & contract reviews o Provide support to F&BM Lead to allow the pre EXCO Cost Approvals are in line with strategy & affordability (Hiring, Vendor / DCP, Resourcing related costs, Travel etc.) o Support the F&BM lead to ensure Finance related Internal audit queries and audit interim reporting are all addressed o Provide support activities to allow programme Interlocks (Location, Capacity creation, Workforce & Budget Transfers) o P.Q reporting to provide capacity creation insights, understand factors impacting costs (controllable and non controllable) o Ensure alignment of SI spend and benefit, POD financial performance are reported and support business in change control updates (target updates) What we\'re looking for: . CA / MBA or equivalent qualification . Good understanding of financials especially cost and drivers . Attention to detail and strong organisational skills a must . Ability to balance multiple critical requests from various stakeholders with outstanding precision . BP&A background and experience . Prior experience in managing senior stakeholders independently . Experience in operating in a multi-geographic, matrix organisation a plus, with proven ability to balance commercial, client, and regulatory needs across businesses and geographies . Strong Excel & PowerPoint skills . Skills that will help you in the role: . Strong Communication skills across a variety of forums and mediums. Proven ability to distil information into key messages and deliver succinctly according to audience . Ability to develop business strategy, communicate in clear and confident manner, and act independently to implement, sometimes using creativity in approach .
