JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE:Senior IT Application Support Analyst SUPERVISOR\'S TITLE: Director, Application Development
PRIMARY PURPOSE- Briefly summarize the primary purpose of this position.
The Senior IT Application Support Analyst supports the continued development and maintenance of the web applications for Bright Horizon clients across multiple lines of business. This role will perform second level application troubleshooting, issue resolution and root cause analysis and will also be responsible for providing on-site technical support for deployment and testing activities.
MAJOR FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES- Describe the major responsibilities of this job. If applicable, please include the number of employees supervised by this position.
Implement and support medium-to-large scale projects while working directly with technical and functional business teams.
Develop technical solutions and work with QA teams to ensure quality during deployment.
Work with the application support teams and the LOB operations to provide support by triaging and/or resolving issues.
Design and implement Steady State support tools and processes for day-to-day maintenance of the applications.
Assist in creation of application troubleshooting documentation and support processes.
SLA Management and Enforcement with consistent delivery of excellent customer service.
Respond to client service requests that range from ad-hoc reporting to system enhancement requests that require opening a change request for system development.
Prepare and setup test data for any change requests to be tested and validated in the test environment.
Work with the vendor to coordinate system releases.
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY- Describe the types of major decisions this position is required to make, and the type of decisions that are referred to a higher level of authority. If appropriate, include quantitative data such as budget accountability, dollar value of projects, etc.
This position needs to possess the ability to act quickly with independent thinking and sound judgment. The majority of work will be under minimal supervision, with independent judgment, and moderate decision making.
RECOMMENDED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS - List the minimum academic credentials and/or professional certification needed to perform this job. Also indicate experience or skills required.
The ideal candidate should have a background in providing technical application support for web applications, along with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Knowledge Skills
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent education and/or experience
Strong knowledge and understanding of the following:
o Web based applications o MSSQL experience o Write/Modify and Execute SQL queries o Microsoft Office products o Test management (test planning, test execution, defect/issue resolution) o Experience with Help Desk support. o Experience with Dynamics CRM a plus o Experience with Agile Fundamentals o Understanding of KQL o Ability to write KQL queries
Previous experience in troubleshooting application-related problems
Strong analytical skills
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people verbally and written
