You will support companies in claiming the research & development (R&D) business tax incentives provided in USA that were introduced to encourage companies in these countries to invest in innovation. As a GDS-QS team member, you will also be part of an exciting, rapidly growing, globally focused team of India-based tax professionals.EY\'s QS service offering provides a unique approach in analysing the complex tax issues associated with the federal and state income tax treatment of research expenditure that are incurred by clients spanning a wide range of industries and geographies.As a member of the QS-R&D team, you will work closely with engagement teams in the United States on a variety of clients, including some of the largest global corporations and transactions. In your role, you will perform expenditure data analysis to calculate eligible Qualified Research Expenses (\xe2\x80\x9cQREs\xe2\x80\x9d) to determine applicable R&D Credit that can be claimed by our clients.Your key responsibilities\xc2\xb7 Analysing the expenditure data by reviewing client payroll, general ledger expenses, invoices, engagement letters, etc.\xc2\xb7 Preparing computations and documentation that support the analysis of the QREs and R&D Credit\xc2\xb7 Creating client calculations and importing client expense data into our proprietary client delivery platformSkills and attributes for successTo qualify for the role, you must have

• Undergraduate and/or postgraduate degree in accounting, tax, business and project management
• Strong Data analytical skills along with proficiency in MS-Office tools (MS-Excel, MS-Access, MS-Power point).
• Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
• Ability to handle multiple engagements and meet strict deadlines.
• Work experience on US R&D Tax Credits would be an added advantage.

Ideally, you\'ll also have

• Strong time management and task management skills and working with different engagement teams
• Ability to handle and manage multiple concurrent engagement timelines and stakeholders
