This position is located in Pune, India About the Role As a Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE) AWS Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of cloud strategies, policies, and best practices. The role works closely with teams across the organization to ensure that the cloud environment is optimized for performance, scalability, and security. The CCoE AWS closely works with cloud engineers, developers, and architects to drive cloud adoption, automation, and innovation. Identify opportunities for cloud migration and optimization, and ensure that our cloud infrastructure is secure, cost-effective, and aligned with our business goals. You will also be responsible for development and implementing best practices and standards for cloud-based operations. This role requires a self-motivated professional that consistently brings a high level of dedication to Workday, customers, and workmates. Design, develop and implementation of cloud-based solutions within our organization, with a focus on AWS. Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for cloud migration and optimization. Develop and implement best practices and standards for cloud-based operations, including security, cost optimization, and performance. Evaluate new cloud technologies and services, and make recommendations for adoption or improvement. Provide technical guidance and support to other teams as needed. Develop and implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud-based infrastructure. Implement automation solutions to reduce manual effort and improve efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory requirements related to cloud-based operations. Design and implement AWS infrastructure and services, via automation and Infrastructure-as-Code. Manage and configure AWS services using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible. Implement and maintain security policies and controls for AWS infrastructure and services Collaborate with cross functional teams to optimize applications Implementing cloud best practices and cost optimization methodologies Implement automations to provision, configure, manage, and monitor system infrastructure services Actively monitor, optimize, and respond to system infrastructure issues and incidents to maintain overall health and security of system infrastructure services Perform maintenance, configuration changes, and upgrades to infrastructure services during scheduled business hours, scheduled off-hours, and/or emergency situations Build and maintain technical and support documentation in order to keep standards up to date Research and remediate infrastructure security vulnerabilities. About You Basic Qualification Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or a related field 10+ years of strong Cloud Engineering experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, with a focus on AWS. Expertise in implementing cloud optimization solutions. Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and ELB. Experience in microservices architectures & container orchestration platforms. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as CloudFormation, Terraform or Ansible. Experience with automation and scripting languages, such as Python or Powershell. DevOps understanding with tools like Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud-based infrastructure. Expertise in Windows/Linux OS & VMware environments. Understanding on monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch and ELK stack. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a high trust and innovative environment where collaboration is crucial. Other Qualifications Good networking knowledge, including Load Balancing, WAF, and firewalls Extensive problem solving, debugging/troubleshooting skills Excellent verbal communications and written documentation skills are required Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment is a must Multi cloud (Azure & GCP ) experience & Technology Certifications are plus Pursuant to applicable Fair Chance law, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
