Consumer Healthcare Business




We are among the top 10 OTC companies in India, and our Flagship brands Revital (Ranked 82) and Volini (Ranked 25) are among the top 100 brands in the country. We provide a range of over-the-counter products Revital (multivitamin), Volini (topical paint relief), Abzorb (anti-fungal), Pepfiz (digestive) and garlic pearls (digestive) with a large distribution reach across the country.




Nutrition Ambition

We have identified Nutrition supplements as a key growth driver for our CHC business. The nutrition supplement market in India is valued at over $5Bn and has been growing at healthy double-digit growth. It is currently the largest segment within the OTC market and presents a large potential for future growth given low penetration and growing consumer interest in health and wellness segments.





We are planning to build a strong presence in the nutrition supplement markets across multiple product segments and price tiers. Our aim to become amongst the top 5 players in this market by building a strong portfolio of brands, driving innovation across product segments and participating in various channels via different go to market models.





Sun Pharma's enjoys widespread coverage in key HCP specialities combined with excellent equity with doctors which has already enabled it to build a strong presence in multiple nutrition speciality segments by establishing a portfolio of differentiated offerings with the Prohance brand. As part of our growth acceleration plan for Prohance, we will strengthen its presence further in specialised RX segments. We will also adopt a hybrid business model to take Prohance DTC and establish it as a well-recognised and trusted brand with differentiated expert scientific credentials.





In addition to leveraging Prohance equity, we are developing plans to enter other segments via new brand launches as well as inorganic growth avenues.




JD for Brand Manager role:




1. Develop Brand Strategies and Brand Plans


a. Ideation, development and execution of marketing campaigns that includes mass media, digital, outdoor & on-ground consumer activations and retail visibility initiatives.


b. Execution, Monitoring and controlling all ATL & BTL initiatives for the assigned brand portfolio.


c. Liaising with Creative & Media Partners: Responsible for development of brand and campaign specific creative briefs to ensure relevant communication development.


d. Responsible for development of Media briefs and tracking media deliverables with agencies.


e. Coordinating and follow-up with the agency for all other jobs related to brand like assisting in shoots, arranging material for media releases, raising purchase orders, verifying media bills and carrying out internal follow-up on payments.


f. Sales Promotions: Planning and execution of Consumer Promotions. Continuously monitoring the effectiveness of the promotions. Analysis and Post Evaluation of such Schemes.




2. Tracking Competitor Strategy


a. Coordinating with Research agency on relevant communication strategy of various brands based on various consumer researches across cities.


b. Analysing the competitor activity through field visits and secondary data sources


c. Compilation of all brand and competitor related information


d. Competition analysis through consumer penetration data (HH Panel) and retail data (AC Nielsen Retail Audit)




3. Developing Competitive Strategies


a. Conceptualization and implementation of strategies to counter competition.




4. Responsible for Effective use of budgeting Norms


a. Allocation of budget for effective executing of marketing campaigns. Also, to keep a track on the same for proper utilization.




5. Understanding Brand trends


a. Thoroughly analyzing the brand sales month wise and identifying yoy growth pattern.


b. Analyze detailed market segmentation (including market research) to focus sales activities towards specific markets.


c. Conduct consumer research, regarding consumption pattern, consumer feedback




6. Execute Market development Inputs


a. Identifying virgin markets / weak markets & develop strategies to develop those markets.


b. Creating and allocation of sales support materials.




7. New Product Development :

Identify, develop, and launch new & existing concepts and products supporting the brand portfolio




Experience: 5-6 years of total experience of which minimum 2 years should be in marketing.


Education Qualification: MBA from Premium / Tier 1 institute


Industry Preference: Consumer Healthcare & FMCG
