• Experience working with estimating software like AutoCAD or similar tools.
• Technical Skills : Proficiency in reading and interpreting interior design drawings and architectural plans .
• Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and finishes used in interior fit-outs .
• Ability to use quantity take-off software and tools.
• Knowledge of costing techniques , material sourcing, and current market rates.
• Software Proficiency : Familiarity with software like AutoCAD , MS Excel , and BOQ preparation tools .
• Knowledge of building codes , standards , and regulations related to interiors.
• Soft Skills : Analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail and accuracy in costing and material calculations.
• Good communication skills to liaise with designers, contractors, and clients.
• Project management capabilities, with an ability to meet deadlines and manage budgets.

• BOQ Preparation : Prepare the Bill of Quantities for various interior projects, including calculating quantities of materials, labor, and other relevant project components. Estimate cost breakdowns for interior design components such as flooring, ceilings, partitions, furniture, lighting, finishes, etc.
• Cost Estimation and Budgeting : Work closely with designers and architects to understand project requirements and create accurate cost estimates based on drawings and specifications. Analyze market prices and trends to provide up-to-date cost estimations. Assist in managing the project budget by keeping costs within the approved limits.
• Tendering Process : Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth process of tendering for interior fit-out work. Prepare tender documents, including BOQs, for contractors and subcontractors. Evaluate bids received from contractors to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance with project specifications.
• Project Coordination : Coordinate with interior designers, architects, engineers, and procurement teams to ensure alignment with the project plan. Support in resolving any discrepancies between the drawings and actual site conditions. Conduct site visits when necessary to verify quantities and check project progress.
• Cost Control and Reporting : Monitor and track the use of resources and prepare cost reports for the project team. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities or areas of cost overruns. Report regularly on project financial performance to stakeholders.
• Documentation and Compliance : Maintain accurate records of all quantities, material costs, labor rates, and other relevant data. Ensure that all documentation complies with local building regulations and project standards.
• Risk Management : Identify and assess risks related to interior materials and construction methods. Recommend cost-effective solutions for mitigating risks and minimizing budget overruns.
