About the Role: Edusoft, an award-winning, leading publisher of Computer Sc., AI, and other subject books, seeks a Book Editor with an eye for detail and keen observation. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that the books go into final publishing error-free and higher quality standards of content. You will work closely with authors, designers, and the development team.

Monthly CTC: Rs. 25,000 - 30,000

Minimum Work Experience in the same profile: 3-5 years preferably with a publication house.

Key Responsibilities:

•1. Manuscript Evaluation:•

- Review submitted manuscripts to assess their potential for publication.

- Evaluate content, structure, and style to identify areas for improvement.

•2. Editing and Proofreading:•

- Edit manuscripts for clarity, coherence, and consistency.

- Proofread carefully to eliminate errors in grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

- Ensure adherence to house style guidelines.

- Evaluate designer errors in drafting.

- Ensure all corrections are marked in the right places.

•3. Fact-Checking & Copyediting:•

- Verify factual accuracy and consistency throughout the manuscript.

- Edit and refine copy to improve readability and clarity.

Required Skills:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Good knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
• Passion for books and reading.
• A keen eye for detail and a love for IT Books.

• A dedicated and talented individual.

Qualification: Graduate or above with an English major from a recognised institution.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?25,000.00 - ?30,000.00 per month
