Boarding House Mistress (Female) - Responsibilities

The Boarding House Mistress is responsible for the care, safety, and overall growth of the students in the boarding house. Her duties include:

• Creating a safe, welcoming, and comfortable home-like environment and encouraging good behavior among students.
• Getting to know each student, understanding their needs, and supporting their studies, social life, and personal growth.
• Acting as a caring guide and giving students advice and support in their daily lives.
• Communicating regularly with parents before, during, and after their child's stay in the boarding house, answering queries, and updating them on their child's progress.
• Keeping clear and accurate records of students' attendance, behavior, and other important information.
• Ensuring the boarding house is clean, tidy, and in good condition, and reporting any repairs needed.
• Working well with other boarding staff and helping the team stay organized.
• Making sure all Health and Safety rules are followed to keep everyone safe.
• Supervising students during study time, breaks, and meals to ensure smooth daily routines.
• Planning activities that encourage students to grow, learn about different cultures, and connect with others.
• Helping organize events and activities to make the boarding house feel lively and positive.
• Being a role model and teaching students responsibility and respect.

This role needs kindness, good communication skills, and a commitment to creating a supportive boarding experience that helps each student grow.
