Job Description

A blowing operator, also known as a blow molding machine operator, is responsible for operating and maintaining machines that create hollow plastic products. Their responsibilities include:

• Setting up and adjusting machines Calibrating the machine's settings, such as temperature and pressure, to the specifications of the product being produced
• Operating the machine Ensuring the machine is producing the product to the client's specifications
• Monitoring the machine Making adjustments to ensure the machine is functioning properly and producing quality output
• Performing maintenance Troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance to minimize downtime
• Quality checks Inspecting and weighing finished products to ensure they meet quality standards
• Recording data Recording production data, including quantities, quality, and materials used
• Maintaining a clean work area Keeping the work area clean and organized, and following safety and sanitation guidelines
• Collaborating with others Working with other team members and departments to meet production goals and deadlines
• Performing minor repairs Performing minor repairs on the machinery as needed

Blow molding machines can be used to create hollow containers from plastics such as polyethylene, PVC, polypropylene, and polyester. These containers are often used as industrial packaging containers
