: Block Coordinator

Location: Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh
Duration: Till 31st March 2025

About the Project:
The PRERANA Project aims to foster innovative solutions for improving youth, adolescent, and women's health, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health. This project operates in eight northeastern states, promoting community engagement and behavior change to improve family planning and reproductive health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Project Officer in engaging youth, women, and vulnerable groups in decision-making around family planning and reproductive health.
- Liaise with government officials, local leaders, and communities to foster support for the project's objectives and create an environment for community-wide behavior change.
- Assist in organizing workshops, training sessions, and advocacy events to build capacity in the community, particularly among women and youth.
- Facilitate the distribution of IEC materials and campaigns promoting voluntary family planning and reproductive health services.
- Support the Project Officer in implementing the project across the state and district.
- Maintain strong relationships with government agencies, NGOs, and local groups to ensure coordinated efforts.
- Ensure compliance with legal, financial, and operational guidelines for project implementation.
- Assist in documentation, reporting, and maintaining project MIS for stakeholders.
- Perform any tasks assigned by PRERANA partners, supervisors, or government bodies in alignment with the project.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in coordination, community engagement, and mobilization.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Fluency in English and local languages is preferred.- Women candidates and local natives are encouraged to apply.
