Job Title: Blasting and Painting Supervisor

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Dockyard Rd, Wadi Bandar, Mazgaon, Mumbai, Maharashtra 400010

Job Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Blasting and Painting Supervisor to oversee and manage blasting and painting operations in our shipyard, ensuring high-quality results, safety, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate blasting and painting activities, including surface preparation, blasting, and coating application on ships and marine structures.

2. Conduct quality control inspections to ensure work meets specifications, industry standards, and classification society requirements.

3. Manage and maintain equipment, supplies, and materials, including blasting and painting equipment, abrasives, and coatings.

4. Train and develop team members to improve skills and performance, including blasting and painting technicians, and riggers.

5. Plan and schedule work to meet deadlines and production targets, including coordinating with other departments, such as production planning, and quality control.

6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination, including engineering, production, and quality control.

7. Investigate and resolve quality control issues, defects, or customer complaints.

8. Maintain accurate records of blasting and painting operations, including documentation of work performed, materials used, and quality control results.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or equivalent.

2. 5+ years of experience in blasting and painting operations in a shipyard or marine environment.

3. Strong knowledge of blasting and painting techniques, materials, and equipment, including surface preparation, abrasive blasting, and coating application.

4. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Pay: ?20,000.00 - ?25,000.00 per month
