Blaster Goa Shipyard
Job Description
1. Blast and clean ship surfaces (hulls, decks, superstructures) using various blasting methods (sand, grit, water).
2. Prepare surfaces for coating and painting applications.
3. Operate blasting equipment (blast pots, hoses, nozzles).
4. Ensure safe working conditions, adhering to safety protocols.
5. Work at heights, in confined spaces, and in various weather conditions.
6. Collaborate with other trades (painters, welders, engineers).
7. Maintain equipment, tools, and blasting materials.
Requirements:
1. 2+ years of experience in ship blasting or related field.
2. Knowledge of blasting techniques, safety procedures, and environmental regulations.
3. Physical stamina for demanding work environments.
4. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
5. Valid certifications (OSHA, EPA, or equivalent).
Desirable Qualifications:
1. Experience with various blasting media (sand, grit, water, chemical).
2. Familiarity with shipyard operations and regulations.
Working Conditions:
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to loud noises, dust, and hazardous materials.
- Physical demands include lifting, bending, and climbing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
