Biw Quality Spot (2.5 Yrs)
Job Description
Perform detailed inspections of BIW components for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and weld integrity.
Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) methods, such as ultrasonic or dye penetrant tests, to detect defects.
Verify conformance to design specifications and tolerances using gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other metrology tools.
Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM) and customer-specific quality requirements.
Develop and maintain quality control plans (QCPs) and inspection checklists.
Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure legal compliance.
Monitor production processes to ensure that welds, joints, and assembled structures are defect-free.
Analyze process data to identify trends, variances, or potential quality risks.
Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC) techniques to maintain quality consistency
Identify and document defects in raw materials, components, and final assemblies.
Conduct root cause analysis (e.g., 8D, Fishbone diagram) for any identified quality issues.
Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate defects.
