Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Biostatistician to join our research team. The Biostatistician will be responsible for providing statistical expertise and support for the design, analysis, and interpretation of biological and medical research studies.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with research scientists, clinicians, and other team members to design and develop appropriate statistical methodologies for research studies.
• Develop statistical analysis plans and perform complex statistical analyses using various statistical software packages (e.g., SAS, R, SPSS).
• Interpret and communicate statistical results to research teams, providing insights and recommendations for data interpretation and decision-making.
• Contribute to the preparation of research proposals, grant applications, and scientific publications by providing statistical input and reviewing statistical content.
• Ensure the integrity and quality of data by implementing quality control measures and adhering to data management best practices.
• Participate in the development and implementation of data collection tools, databases, and data management systems.
• Provide statistical consultation and training to research staff on study design, data analysis, and interpretation of results.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in biostatistics, statistical methodologies, and relevant software tools.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including researchers, clinicians, and other stakeholders, to ensure the successful completion of research projects.

Qualifications:

• M. Sc. and Ph.D. in Biostatistics.
• Extensive experience in applied biostatistics, with a strong background in experimental design, data analysis, and statistical modeling techniques.
• Proficient in statistical software packages such as SAS, R, SPSS, or equivalent.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate statistical concepts to non-statistical audiences.
• Familiarity with statistical principles and methodologies relevant to biomedical research, including clinical trials, observational studies, and epidemiological studies.
• Experience in working with large and complex datasets, data management, and data quality assurance.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and guidelines related to statistical analysis in biomedical research is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
