Sanjay Ghodawat International School, Pune is seeking a dedicated and experienced Biology teacher proficient in both International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Cambridge Assessment International Education (CAIE) curriculum to join our esteemed faculty. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, fostering critical thinking skills, and nurturing a passion for biological sciences among our diverse student body. Responsibilities:
- Curriculum Delivery: Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons that align with the requirements of both IBDP and CAIE Biology curriculum, ensuring coverage of key concepts, skills, and learning objectives.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Develop appropriate formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress, provide timely feedback, and facilitate academic growth. Prepare students for internal and external examinations, including IBDP and CAIE assessments.
- Differentiated Instruction: Cater to the diverse learning needs and styles of students by implementing differentiated instruction strategies, incorporating technology, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Extracurricular Involvement: Actively participate in extracurricular activities, science clubs, and academic competitions to enrich students\' educational experience, promote scientific inquiry, and cultivate a passion for biology beyond the classroom.
- Parent and Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open and effective communication channels with parents, guardians, and stakeholders to provide updates on student progress, address concerns, and foster positive relationships within the school community.
- Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and conferences, to stay abreast of best practices in Biology education, pedagogical approaches, and assessment strategies.
- Master\'s degree in Biology, Education, or related field.
- Teaching certification or credential recognized by relevant educational authorities
- Proven experience teaching Biology at the IBDP and/or CAIE levels
- Excellent knowledge of IBDP and CAIE Biology curriculum frameworks, assessment criteria, and examination requirements
- Strong pedagogical skills, including the ability to differentiate instruction, implement inquiry-based learning, and integrate technology in the classroom
- Effective classroom management and communication skills
