The Billing Engineer will be responsible for accurately calculating project costs, preparing invoices, and ensuring timely billing and collections. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of engineering principles and enquires effective communication skills to liaise with project managers, clients, and internal teams.
Responsibility:
Cost Estimation: Calculate project costs based on materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor expenses, and overheads, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Invoice Preparation: Prepare detailed and accurate invoices for clients according to contract terms, project milestones, and work completed, utilizing project documentation.
Billing Coordination: Coordinate with project managers and finance department to ensure timely billing and adherence to billing schedules.
Documentation Management: Maintain organized and up-to-date billing records, contracts, change orders, and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries, clarifications, and disputes, providing timely and professional responses to ensure client satisfaction and prompt resolution of issues.
Collections: Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments, collaborating with the finance department to resolve payment issues.
Reporting: Generate billing reports and financial summaries as required, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline billing processes, enhance efficiency, and implement best practices to optimize billing accuracy and timeliness.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and industry standards related to billing, invoicing, and project accounting.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in B.Tech in Mechanical & Civil
2. Proven experience of at least 3-5 years as a Billing Engineer, Cost Engineer, or similar role in the similar industry, with a strong understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and cost control.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
4. Organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
5. Knowledge of architectural construction contracts, change order management, and construction billing practices.
6. Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, standards, and best practices.
