We are looking for a Scala/Python software engineer who can/wants to:

• Engineer solutions for counterparty credit risk reusing AQUA Computation and Data services
• Create cohesive technology solutions using event driven architecture and ETL
• Take a hands on approach to investigating and solving problems
• Focus on product quality (utilizing review, testing and fast feedback)
• Analyze business needs working with business users to inform solution delivery

UBS RecruitingYour teamYou will be working in a hybrid pod comprising Global Treasury Technology, alongside Front Office Risk and P&L teams in Pune, and the Business. The team is highly motivated and consists of data quants and some of the bank\'s best technologists. This is a hands on technical role, where proven software design and development skills using core java logical approach to problem solving.Your expertise

• Hands on in Scala (Java is optional), Pyspark which includes but not limited to distributed processing, apache spark
• At least one RDBMS technology such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc
• Cloud platforms such as Azure (preferred) or AWS
• Creating data structures optimized for storage, optimizing spark jobs and various query patterns for e.g. parquet and delta lake
• Traditional data warehousing / ETL tools (Azure Data factory, etc.)
• Passionate about Design, Development and best coding practices.
• Good in problem solving, analysis skills (requirement refinement, abstraction), excellent communication skills
• Testing (Unit, System, Integration, UAT, Performance, Stability)
• Test Driven Development / Business Driven Development
• Iterative SDLC (Scrum ideal)
• Experience of large-scale enterprise software
• Results focused with desire to work closely with business partners, as part of a global team
• Knowledge of Robotic / Cucumber & Gherkin, Terraform is desirable to have
• Knowledge of derivatives (FX, Rates, Credit, Commodities, Equities), Knowledge of risk is desired to have
