A Bid Executive orchestrates the bidding process, from prospect identification to proposal creation, in collaboration with Sales and Management teams, aiming to secure business opportunities. They ensure timely and effective responses to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposal (RFPs), driving business growth through strategic bidding efforts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Tender Qualification and Conversion:
Collaborate closely with Sales and Management teams to identify qualifying tenders and convert prospects into quantifiable business opportunities.
Proposal Development:
Work alongside Business Development Managers to respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)/Requests for Proposal (RFPs), develop business proposals, and create Proof of Concepts (POCs).
Tender Documentation:
Demonstrate readiness to independently handle Tender documentation and draft high-level solutions.
Technology and Infrastructure Understanding:
Possess understanding of technology and infrastructure related to ICT components such as hardware, networking, routers, switches, etc.
Key Account Management:
Manage key accounts, comprehend their business requirements, and propose solution propositions from the portfolio.
Project Pilot and POC Participation:
Participate in pilot projects and POCs, serving as a liaison between business and technical teams to understand requirements and deliver value.
Timely Bid Response Coordination:
Ensure timely bid responses by coordinating with Technology, Finance, Commercial, Legal, Service Delivery, and other relevant teams.
Differentiated Proposal Creation:
Take responsibility for creating differentiated proposals and solution/bid documents that meet clients' requirements.
Tender Understanding:
Ability to thoroughly read and summarise the complete tender, including PQ (Pre-Qualification) and TQ (Technical Qualification).
Knowledge of compliance parameters for various IT components is advantageous.
Experience and Education:
1-4 years of working experience in Pre-sales or Bidding/Tendering domain.
Bachelor's degree in engineering (BE/B.Tech/B.Sc.) in Computer Science/Information Technology (CSE/IT) and MBA or equivalent qualification.
Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Understanding of various procurement terms like RFI, EOI, RFP, RFO, and RFQ.
