Job Description

The bartender is responsible for preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The bartender must also be knowledgeable about a wide variety of drinks, including traditional cocktails, specialty drinks, and wine.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:
• Greet customers as they enter the bar area.
• Take beverage orders from customers and wait staff.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
• Drink Preparation:
• Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails and other drinks.
• Pour wine, beer, and other beverages accurately.
• Follow recipes and adhere to established standards for drink preparation and presentation.
• Cash Handling and Sales:
• Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
• Open and close tabs for customers.
• Keep track of customer orders and manage tabs efficiently.
• Inventory and Stock Management:
• Monitor bar inventory and restock supplies as needed.
• Order and receive bar stock and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and report any discrepancies to the manager.
• Cleanliness and Maintenance:
• Keep the bar area clean and organized.
• Clean glasses, utensils, and bar equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Compliance:
• Verify the identification and age of customers.
• Refuse to serve alcohol to underage or visibly intoxicated customers.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws regarding the sale of alcohol.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a bartender or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks.
• Excellent knowledge of in-house recipes and mixology techniques.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked, and clean.
• Certification as a bartender (e.g., TIPS certification) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced environment.
• Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts are common.
• Standing for long periods.
• Exposure to loud music and crowds.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy items (e.g., kegs, cases of liquor).
• Manual dexterity to handle bar equipment and glassware.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?35,000.00 per month
