As a Barista/Cashier at [Cafe Name], you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving a variety of beverages, and processing customer transactions accurately. You will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensuring their satisfaction. Responsibilities:
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly as they enter the cafe.
Assist customers in making beverage selections and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional and courteous manner.
Ensure customer satisfaction by addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
Beverage Preparation:
Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, espresso drinks, smoothies, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and quality standards.
Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other beverage equipment with proficiency.
Ensure consistency in beverage presentation and taste.
Cashier Duties:
Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using the POS (Point of Sale) system.
Accept payment by cash, credit card, or other forms of payment and provide change to customers as needed.
Maintain accurate cash drawer and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
Upsell cafe products and promotions to increase sales revenue.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization:
Keep the cafe clean and organized at all times, including the beverage preparation area, dining area, and restroom facilities.
Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and workstations regularly.
Restock inventory and replenish supplies as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work collaboratively with other cafe staff members, including baristas, kitchen staff, and managers, to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.
Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and prioritize workload.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a barista, cashier, or in a customer service role preferred.
Knowledge of coffee and beverage preparation techniques is an asset.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Food handler\'s certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
