Position Overview:

As a Barista/Steward, you will play a crucial role in delivering a memorable experience for our customers. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages, as well as assisting in the overall operations of the cafe, including customer service, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Coffee and Beverage Preparation:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to customers.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all beverages.
• Operate and maintain coffee machines and equipment.

2. Customer Service:

• Greet and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Provide information about menu items and make recommendations.

3. Cafe Operations:

• Assist with opening and closing duties of the cafe.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including counters, tables, and seating areas.
• Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies as needed.

4. Cash Handling:

• Process customer payments accurately using the cafe's point-of-sale system.
• Handle cash and credit card transactions securely and responsibly.

5. Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding customer orders and special requests.
• Participate in team meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• A passion for coffee and a commitment to providing a positive customer experience.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?17,000.00 - ?28,000.00 per month
