: Barista/Chef at Garden City Cafeteria

Overview :

Garden City Cafeteria is seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Barista/Chef. This dual-role position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in both coffee preparation and culinary arts in a vibrant cafeteria setting. We offer a competitive salary slab ranging from 10,000/- to 15,000/- based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Barista Duties:

1.Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso drinks, brewed coffee, and specialty drinks.

2.Ensure quality and consistency in coffee preparation and presentation.

3.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station and equipment.

4.Provide exceptional customer service, taking orders accurately and efficiently.

Chef Duties:

1.Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and customer orders.

2.Ensure food is prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations.

3.Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and enhance menu offerings.

4.Monitor and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and ensure availability.

General Responsibilities:

1.Greet and assist customers with menu selections and dietary preferences.

2.Operate POS systems to process orders and handle transactions.

3.Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the cafeteria.

4.Assist with opening and closing duties as needed.

Requirements:

1.Proven experience as a barista and/or chef in a cafe or restaurant setting.

2.Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso machine operation.

3.Proficiency in culinary skills, including food preparation and cooking.

4.Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

5.Excellent communication and customer service skills.

6.Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

7.Certification in food handling and barista training is advantageous.
