Job Description

A Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, primarily coffee, and maintaining a welcoming and efficient service environment. Baristas work in coffee shops, cafes, or restaurants, often as the face of the establishment, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Beverage Preparation

Prepare and serve a wide range of coffee drinks (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, lattes) and other beverages like teas, smoothies, and seasonal offerings.

Operate and maintain brewing equipment, espresso machines, and grinders.

Adjust recipes to meet customer preferences (e.g., dairy alternatives, sugar levels).

2. Customer Service

Greet customers and take orders in a friendly, professional manner.

Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences.

Handle customer complaints or inquiries efficiently and professionally.

3. Cash Handling and Transactions

Process payments using cash registers or point-of-sale (POS) systems.

Manage cash and card transactions accurately.

4. Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization

Keep the coffee station and equipment clean and sanitized.

Restock inventory, including coffee beans, syrups, and disposable items.

Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.

5. Teamwork and Collaboration

Work closely with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

Communicate effectively to handle large orders or special requests.

Qualifications and Skills:

Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer-facing role (preferred but not required).

Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and types of beans (can be trained on the job).

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

Attention to detail and a passion for customer satisfaction.

Basic math skills for handling payments and inventory.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?15,000.00 - ?22,000.00 per month
