Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, including espresso, cappuccino, latte, and specialty drinks, according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, and other equipment with precision and care.
• Consistently maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in the coffee preparation and serving areas.
• Welcome and engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, providing recommendations and answering questions about our coffee offerings.
• Take customer orders accurately and efficiently, processing payments and handling cash transactions with attention to detail.
• Maintain inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies, and place orders as needed to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Prepare and package coffee beans and other retail merchandise for sale to customers.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation of the coffee bar and timely service to customers.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and guidelines, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance your coffee knowledge and barista skills.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role, preferably in a coffee shop or cafe setting.
• Passion for coffee and a desire to create exceptional coffee experiences for customers.
• Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and espresso preparation methods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Barista certification or training from a recognized coffee association or organization.
• Experience with latte art and other decorative coffee techniques.
• Knowledge of different coffee bean varieties, origins, and flavor profiles.
• Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills.
• Additional language skills are a plus.

Working Hours:
Flexible scheduling, including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ?10,000.00 - ?18,000.00 per month
