Key Responsibilities:
• Sales & Client Acquisition:
• Actively seek out new clients through cold calls, emails, networking, and site visits to generate leads for banquet services.
• Respond to inquiries and leads in a timely manner, providing detailed information on banquet packages, menus, services, and facilities.
• Conduct site inspections and present banquet facilities and services to prospective clients, highlighting the unique selling points of the venue.
• Maintain a database of potential and existing clients and build strong, long-term relationships.
• Client Relationship Management:
• Meet with clients to understand their specific needs, budgets, and event requirements, offering customized solutions to meet their expectations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the sales process, from inquiry to event confirmation.
• Manage and maintain relationships with key clients to ensure repeat business and referrals.
• Event Planning and Coordination:
• Work closely with the banquet operations team to ensure seamless coordination of event logistics, including setup, catering, AV, and staffing.
• Ensure that all event details are communicated clearly to the banquet and kitchen teams through event orders, schedules, and regular meetings.
• Assist clients with the selection of menus, decor, AV requirements, and other event-related services, ensuring that their preferences are met.
• Participate in pre-event briefings and post-event follow-ups to assess client satisfaction and ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
• Contract Negotiation and Financials:
• Prepare and present detailed proposals and contracts for clients, outlining services, pricing, and terms of the agreement.
• Negotiate pricing, discounts, and contractual terms while maintaining profitability for the venue.
• Monitor payment schedules and ensure that deposits and final payments are collected on time.
• Track sales performance and generate reports on event bookings, revenue, and client feedback.
• Sales Strategy and Target Achievement:
• Work with the sales and marketing team to develop strategies for increasing banquet bookings and maximizing revenue.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets, focusing on increasing occupancy rates for banquet facilities.
• Promote seasonal offers, packages, and upsell additional services to clients to maximize event revenue.
• Stay informed about industry trends and competitor offerings to ensure competitive pricing and service standards.
• Marketing and Promotions Support:
• Collaborate with the marketing team to promote banquet services through online campaigns, social media, and events.
• Participate in trade shows, wedding expos, corporate events, and other networking opportunities to showcase banquet offerings.
• Work with graphic designers and marketing teams to create promotional materials such as brochures, online ads, and email campaigns.
• Provide input for sales promotions, packages, and special offers aimed at attracting new business.
• Client Feedback and Continuous Improvement:
• Gather feedback from clients after events to assess satisfaction levels and identify areas for improvement.
• Address any concerns or issues that arise during or after events, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
• Work with the operations team to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of banquet services based on client feedback.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Proven experience in banquet sales, event planning, or hospitality sales.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple clients and events simultaneously.
• Ability to work in a target-driven environment and meet sales goals.
• Familiarity with banquet operations, menus, and event logistics.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, ensuring smooth execution of events.
• Proficient in MS Office and banquet/event management software.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Degree or diploma in hospitality management, sales, marketing, or a related field.
• Prior experience in banquet sales or event management in a hotel, restaurant, or events venue.
• Knowledge of local market trends and client needs within the events and hospitality industry.
