A banquet captain plans and manages all aspects of a banquet, including:
• Event planning : Creating and managing event schedules
• Staff management : Training, monitoring, and assigning tasks to staff
• Food and beverage service : Supervising the setup and service of food and drinks
• Guest service : Addressing customer concerns, fulfilling requests, and ensuring guests are served quickly
• Cleanliness : Ensuring the event venue is clean and that tables, linens, and cutlery are hygienic
• Safety : Ensuring that safety standards are followed
• Communication : Communicating effectively with staff and guests
