AiR Humanitarian Home (Bannerghatta) Hundreds of destitute patients are admitted here every month. Some need minor medical treatment, after which they are discharged and sent back home. However, there are a few patients who need prolonged or intensive medical care. They could be victims of accidents or attempted suicides, burns victims, people with debilitating sicknesses or mental disorders. Such patients are referred to our partnering hospitals in Bengaluru and are also temporarily adopted by the home and classified as 'special cases'. They are treated, their condition is monitored closely and upon recovery, they are shifted to the home in Chikkagubbi Village till they are considered fit enough to be discharged. The Bannerghatta shelter has had the good fortune of being blessed by His Holiness, The Dalai Lama , who was deeply moved and touched by the mission and the work of our organization.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced BAMS Female Doctor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality Ayurvedic medical care to our female patients, promoting health and wellness, and upholding the principles of Ayurveda.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Consult with patients, diagnose, and treat various health conditions using Ayurvedic principles and practices.

2. Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and order lab tests as needed.

3. Develop personalized treatment plans, including diet, lifestyle, and medication recommendations.

4. Provide health education and counseling to patients on Ayurvedic principles, nutrition, and stress management.

5. Prescribe Ayurvedic medications and therapies, such as Panchakarma, yoga, and meditation.

6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

7. Maintain accurate patient records and reports.

8. Participate in clinic/hospital activities, such as workshops, seminars, and training programs.

Requirements:

1. BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda, Medicine, and Surgery) degree from a recognized university.

2. Registration with the State Ayurvedic Council or Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM).

3. Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Ayurvedic practice, preferably with a focus on women's health.

4. Strong knowledge of Ayurvedic principles, pharmacology, and therapeutics.

5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and counseling skills.

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.

Desirable Qualifications:

1. MD (Ayurveda) or higher degree in Ayurveda.

2. Experience in Panchakarma, yoga, or other Ayurvedic therapies.

3. Certification in women's health or obstetrics and gynecology.
