Job Description

Position Overview:

As a Bakery and Pastry Commi 1, you will be an essential part of our culinary team, responsible for assisting in the preparation and production of bakery and pastry items. Your primary role will involve supporting the Bakery and Pastry Chef in creating high-quality baked goods and desserts, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation and Production:
• Assist in the preparation and baking of bread, pastries, cakes, chocolates, and other bakery items.
• Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and standards.
• Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofing cabinets.
• Quality Control:
• Ensure all baked goods meet the company's quality standards for taste, texture, and appearance.
• Conduct quality checks during and after baking to maintain consistency.
• Follow proper food handling and safety procedures.
• Inventory and Supplies:
• Monitor inventory levels of baking ingredients and supplies.
• Assist in the ordering and receiving of ingredients and supplies.
• Properly store and label ingredients to ensure freshness and prevent spoilage.
• Sanitation and Cleanliness:
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, utensils, and counters.
• Adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards to ensure a safe working environment.
• Participate in regular cleaning schedules and deep-cleaning tasks.
• Team Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Bakery and Pastry Chef and other kitchen staff to coordinate production schedules and tasks.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior team members as needed.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and production.

Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen, preferably in a similar role.
• Education: A diploma or certification in baking and pastry arts is preferred.
• Skills:
• Proficient in baking techniques and pastry production.
• Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Working Conditions:

• Location: Greater Kailash and Gurgaon
• Schedule: Flexible working hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Compensation: 15k to 20k, based on experience and skills.
