Job Description

We are looking Bakery Chef, responsible for preparing a wide variety of baked goods like breads, pastries, and desserts, ensuring high quality standards, developing new recipes, managing inventory, maintaining a clean workspace, and often training junior staff in baking techniques within a bakery setting.

Baking Production:

Prepare and bake a diverse range of baked goods including breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, pies, and other desserts according to established recipes. Monitor baking processes to ensure consistency in quality and texture. Decorate and present baked goods with attention to detail.

Recipe Development:

Research and develop new recipes to expand menu offerings and cater to current trends Test new recipes and make adjustments as needed

Quality Control:

Inspect ingredients for freshness and quality Perform quality checks on finished baked goods to maintain standards

Inventory Management:

Manage inventory of baking ingredients and supplies Place orders for necessary ingredients as needed

Team Leadership:

Train and mentor junior bakery staff on proper baking techniques and procedures Assign tasks to team members and oversee daily operations

Sanitation and Hygiene:

Maintain a clean and organized workspace according to food safety regulations Adhere to proper sanitation practices during baking processes

Collaboration:

Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and meet production goals Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning and special events
Required skills and qualifications:

Strong baking skills with a deep understanding of different doughs, textures, and flavors Proficiency in using various baking equipment and tools Creative flair for developing new recipes and presentations Attention to detail and commitment to quality standards Excellent time management and organizational abilities Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation practices Culinary training or relevant experience as a baker or pastry chef

Pay: ?250,000.00 - ?300,000.00 per month
