Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef de Partie - Bakery to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in baking and pastry arts, with a focus on producing high-quality breads, pastries, and desserts. As a Chef de Partie, you will work closely with our Head Pastry Chef to ensure consistent quality, develop new recipes, and maintain a high standard of food hygiene and safety. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation & Production :
• Assist in the daily preparation and baking of bread, pastries, and other bakery items.
• Ensure all products are consistently of high quality, following recipes and presentation standards.
• Oversee specific sections of the bakery, managing daily production tasks to meet restaurant or retail demands.
• Menu Development :
• Collaborate with the Head Pastry Chef to create and refine new bakery items and seasonal menus.
• Research and experiment with innovative techniques and ingredients to enhance the bakery's offerings.
• Quality Control :
• Monitor the quality of raw and finished products to ensure compliance with taste and texture standards.
• Ensure that all bakery items are visually appealing and consistently presented.
• Inventory & Ordering :
• Assist in managing inventory levels of bakery ingredients, placing orders as needed to maintain stock.
• Ensure that all items are properly labeled, stored, and rotated to maintain freshness and quality.
• Team Collaboration :
• Train and mentor junior bakery staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
• Foster a collaborative environment, promoting teamwork and efficiency within the kitchen.
• Sanitation & Safety :
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines, ensuring that all workstations and equipment are clean and hygienic.
• Participate in regular health and safety training sessions, following all protocols to prevent accidents.
Qualifications:
• Experience : Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen, preferably in a high-volume or fine-dining setting.
• Education : Culinary degree or certification in Baking/Pastry Arts preferred.
• Skills :
• Strong understanding of baking techniques, equipment, and quality standards.
• Proficient in various pastry and bakery items, including breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage time effectively.

• Able to handle a fast-paced environment and work well under pressure.
