• Provides direct technical support in planning designing and implementing the solution for global Backup infrastructure.
• Without supervision, deploy, migrate and configure backup system.
• Develop detailed schematics relating to new installations and existing upgradation, migration or integration.
• Candidate should have strong experience in implementation, configuration, migration of Symantec netbackup server, media server and agents.
• Excellent knowledge of Symantec netbackup implementation, L2 support of Vmware /Windows/Linux Operating systems management and administration skills..
• Candidate should have basic or advance knowledge on EMC data domain and replication.
• Assist SAs & DBAs on various backup needs & strategies.
• Setup, configure and manage NetBackup server/client and tape libraries.
• Unix knowledge to manage NetBackup master servers.
• Improve automation and productivity of backups through scripting enhancements.
• Knowledge of BMR & AIR backups.
• Knowledge of Lanbase & Lanfree backup.
• Solving complicated Hardware cases if any during implementation and Liaising with Hardware Vendor/Symantec support.
• 8 to 10 years of experience in designing, configuring, migration and implementation of Symantec netbackup solutions and Vmware technologies.
• Produce solid and secure system designs according to industry best practices.
• Provide Tier 3 support for backup deployments / Vmware related issues as required.
• Candidate shall be open to work in stretched shifts, odd working hours and weekends as per the work requirements.
