Job Description

Client: Our client is a cybersecurity company which offers various services (such as penetration testing, monitoring, security assessments, etc.) and operates worldwide. They have recently acquired various other companies and are in the process of unifying tools and processes among their recently bought business units.

• Position overview: We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing secure, scalable systems and experience with Kafka for messaging. Knowledge of Spring Security, SSO, and Auth0 is essential.
• This role requires effective collaboration within a distributed team and a commitment to delivering high-quality, maintainable code. The candidate must be able to work remotely while maintaining a 6 to 8-hour overlap with the Dublin, Ireland timezone.



• Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
• Design and implement scalable solutions based on microservices architecture
• Integrate and manage messaging systems, particularly Apache Kafka
• Enhance system security using Spring Security, SSO, and Auth0
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions
• Ensure code quality, testing, and deployment standards are met



• Requirements: Proven experience as a Backend Developer with expertise in Java
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and its ecosystem
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Proficiency in Apache Kafka for messaging and stream processing
• Experience with security frameworks and protocols: Spring Security, Single Sign-On (SSO), Auth0, or similar
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools for efficient deployment
