Job Description
The back office is responsible for technical support, regulatory compliance, operations, and supply chain management. For the back offices of investment management firms, additional roles involve risk assessment, auditing, and ensuring that the business complies with all regulations governing its operations. Other examples of back-office operations in the financial industry include payroll, compliance, and settling trades. Some of the departments that are found in the back office include information, technology, human resources, accounting, compliance, operations and supply chain management, and administration.
