We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Azure SQL database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance and performance of critical Azure SQL databases. This role requires a strategic thinker with hands -on experience in database management and a passion for ensuring optimal performance, availability and security of our databases. Technical Skills : Databases : Azure SQL, Database, SQL Server, My SQL, PostgreSQL Cloud Platforms : Microsoft Azure Scripting Languages : PowerShell, T-SQL Tools : Azure Data Studio, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) Other : ARM Templates, Data Factory, Logic Apps, Azure Monitor Key Responsibilities: Database Management: • Manage and maintain Azure SQL Database instances to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement and support Always On Availability Groups, Geo-Replication, and other high availability and disaster recovery solutions.

Performance Tuning: • Perform regular database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring.
• Analyze query performance and optimize SQL queries and indexes.

Security & Compliance: • Implement and manage database security measures, including data encryption, access controls, and compliance with industry standards such as GDPR and HIPAA.
• Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Backup & Recovery: • Develop, implement, and manage backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Perform regular backup tests and disaster recovery drills.

Automation & Scripting: • Create and maintain automation scripts for routine database maintenance tasks using PowerShell and T-SQL.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.

Migration & Integration: • Plan and execute the migration of on-premises SQL Server databases to Azure SQL Database.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate database changes into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.

Monitoring & Troubleshooting: • Set up and manage monitoring tools to track database performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

Collaboration: • Work closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to provide database support and guidance.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure best practices in database design and performance.
